Sounds like another opportunity to stand in line. I might wait until they have been open awhile to give'em a try. It's a well known fact that Marines only stand in line for pay day and later at the skivvy house.

Anybody going to the grand opening weekend at cabelas this weekend. They open on the 26th at 11am.

11am to open? Odd starting time. I wonder if they will have any 22lr ammo like this deal that was just online today:
winchester .22LR 22lr ammo at Cabelas free in store pick up hollow point 36 grain $18.99 .057 a round - Slickdeals.net
Five to six cents a round with a one-brick limit should be good enough for a few folks to drop by.

I don't know that our local Gander has had much influence on the Cabela's 30 miles downstream on IH-35; but Gander has at least had some bulk-ish 22lr available. I picked up two bricks @ <5 cents per round and 1600 rnd box of MiniMags @ about 8 cents per...at Gander in the last month.

The locations are just a little bit closer in Lubbock. What you think Gomez, 1/4 mile?

I had a Cabelas (Rogers, MN) about 5 miles from my last house and a Gander almost right next door to it. The Cabelas was the first one to go up by a couple years. Ganders prices were almost always higher. The running joke was that Ganders sale prices were MSRP.

Did anyone make it there yet?
Do they have much in the reloading department?

I've got a meeting in Lubbock on Tuesday.
I'll see what the scraps look like.

I have been to busy with work but Mrs. Countryfried made it to the grand opening and came home with some .22LR. She said that they had reloading supplies but I didn't have the foresight to make up a shopping list.
