Went to the Gander in Arlington, almost everything is still on the shelf. People are browsing but no one is buying.. I didn't bother LOOKING at the guns, but some guy was in there trying to get them to discount the gun below the actual retail price. Counter guy said he could not do it.
A lot of their ammo is decently priced at 40% off. Hornady .444 Marlin for $20 a box, various self defense ammo for $15 a box.
Just for giggles I picked up a set of RCBS .50 AE and .222 Remington dies for $20 each.
They had a set of RCBS Carbide .45 ACP dies marked 39.99 before discount. Kid rang it up as $69.99 before discount. I told him to call a manager, manager said over the radio that the 39.99 was wrong. I told the kid he could keep it.
As much as I love my High Standard, I've not picked up another one because people seem to think these are still worth $800+ even though the collector's market for them was short lived when people found out you had to actually care for the things. I've never seen anyone think of asking 3k for a Victor, and I've been to Collector's Firearms.
