California is a weird ass place...

    http://nypost.com/2017/06/24/real-life-mad-max-busted-with-atv-full-of-makeshift-weapons/

A man claiming to be “Mad Max” was busted for with a cache of MacGyvered weapons as he cruised down his own “Fury Road” in California, officials said.

Jack Lee Ernest was driving his four-wheeler down Old Highway 58 around 11 p.m. Thursday when a deputy pulled him over for behaving “suspiciously,” KABC reported.

But as officials conducted the traffic stop, Ernest, 39, “attempted to flee and behaved so suspiciously he was detained,” the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.

A deputy discovered several illegal weapons, including brass knuckles, a sawed-off shotgun with “tactically attached,” ammo, and two similarly outfitted knives, the station reported.

Cops said he fancied himself “Mad Max,” the character made famous by Mel Gibson in the dystopian film series.

The Barstow resident was booked into a city jail on suspicion of possession of illegal weapons with a bail set at $30,000.

His ATV was towed and is in storage.

He can't be an "official " Mad Max unless he had a pit bull riding along with him. Are pit bulls illegal in Kali?

LMFAO: 'dystopian and being a Barstow resident'...

I can see how he mentally got there! (the two kinda go hand-n-hand).

    “tactically attached,” ammo - heh.

I figured tactically attached ammo would be shotgun shells in a drum mag.

I don't think his dog was a pit.
I believe it was something more along the lines of a Basenji.
It very well could've been a Basenji, it's been 20+ yrs since I've watched Mad Max.

It's a shame he wasn't driving a ford falcon and claiming to be the "night rider".
    A much cooler Character.

When will fuckers learn that Comic Con and such are laughably stoopid. And anyone who goes around like the guy the OP's post describes who is NOT on his way to Comic Con is simply crazy in addition to being stoopid.

The key note to the thread is "California". This is hardly the craziest thing I myself has seen in California.
