Justifying the power grab of an ever-expanding government.

"The report, based on a year-long intensive research process involving consultation with key agencies across the Department of Defense and U.S. Army, calls for the U.S. government to invest in more surveillance, better propaganda through “strategic manipulation” of public opinion, and a “wider and more flexible” U.S. military."

Has nothing to do with any of the things you guys said... We get involved in massive wars and don't gain anything from them... We should own Iraq, Vietnam, and Korea right now as territories or limited states.. We don't.... The other stupid thing we do is spend 2/3 of our entire budget on entitlement programs better known as social security and medicare/medicaid.. Those two things alone will cause our demise... We don't force policy worldwide nearly enough. Now that China has caught up (and will surpass) they will take a more dominating role in determining geopolitical policy.

We don't win hearts and minds and we spend too much money.

After retiring from 20 years of military service I would completely agree. Yes largely due to the disappearance of the U.S. on the world stage and dang near total lack of trust and respect from allies and lack of fear by our enemies. It didn't start with the Obama administration though. The blame for the disasters, chaos, and destabilization of the Middle East lays squarely on the shoulders of Bush Jr and his puppet masters Cheney and Rumsfeld.
