She and her husband are both facing murder charges, how is that unfair? By the video, to me anyway, it wasn't inaction as they claim, she perpetuated it.

Not sure I agree she perpetuated it, it was happening before she got there.

Really? That wasn't her next to her husband yelling at Hernandez to stay down?

    From the article:
"While waiting in the parking lot, deputies said the husband saw Hernandez urinating in public and went to verbally confront the man about his behavior. Officers said the argument escalated to a physical altercation. Moments later, the deputy, who was off-duty at the time, arrived in a separate vehicle."

"The deputy allegedly called the Sheriff’s office for backup and emergency medical services before helping her husband restrain Hernandez, investigators said."

The article also states that the husband was uninjured during the ordeal.

I'm just saying it seems the deputy should not have been fired for it.

I take it you didn't see the video then.

I did. I don't think you can draw the conclusion just from watching that video that she didn't do what the article said she did. Yes she is there with him, but that doesn't cover the period of time covered by the article's comments about what she did prior to her being with the hubby and his belly.

Obviously since she was at first on administrative leave and then fired, the sheriffs office found something to fire her for. Now it's up to the courts to decide if further punishment is warranted. Let's just say I'm glad I'm not in her shoes, and if she is found guilty I hope she gets what she has coming to her.

deemus, your link is from the day before (July21)

This was added to the later news story

"According to KTRK, cellphone video of the incident taken by a witness shows Chauna Thompson yelling at Hernandez to stay on the ground, cursing at him and pushing her right knee into his side. The footage also shows her husband on top of Hernandez with his arm around the man's throat."

I was referring to Sterling's link. It just takes me to the general ABC News page.
