Take them to a gun shop or pawn shop and sell them there, tomorrow. No need to wait for a show.
You need to take reasonable effort to insure the buyer is legal to purchase... proof of state residence,
Keep in mind a gun is a piece of private property like a riding lawn mower or a pocket knife. Once you buy it it's your property and you can sell it. One thing though. You can't knowingly sell it to a prohibited person. So if your walking the show with your 870 pump shotgun slung on your shoulder and a guy walks up and says "hey buddy, I will give you $350 for that" and you think that's a fair deal then take his money, give him the shotgun, shake his hand and you are good. If however he says "hey buddy, I will give you $350 for that, glad I found you cause I can't buy from a FFL because I'm a felon, have a restraining order" etc then walk away quickly!
He has to give you a reason not to sell to him. Don't make it more complicated than that.

This is what worries me in that scenario. I'd like to eliminate or seriously reduce the chances of anything I sell being used in an illegal activity.
Thank you
Gun shows are a pain to sell at in my opinion. Anybody at a table will offer you pennies on the dollar, like a gun or worse yet pawn shop.Good info here but it sounds like a gun show wouldn't be the best option.
A pawn shop isn't ideal either because if I have something worth anything I'd only get a small portion, but, if they aren't worth much then that would be the way to go for me.
I'll gladly post pics later this evening when I get in.
Thanks for the informative replies!
No you do not, and though it is common, this is actually bad advice. A better solution is to just follow the law.
LOLP.S. don't ever sell to Moonpie. No good will come of it.
