Told a few guys I would make a kinda review post after a recent rifle match. Be forewarned I'm horrible about typing review type stuff.

The weekend started in fri with a zero/dope check with targets out to a mile or close if you desired to shoot. Then a brief shooters meeting to discuss squads and starting stages.

Stages were well thought out with all being 2:15 long with shot counts in the 8-12 area with distances up to 1300yds or so. I only snagged a few pics. They show a decent idea of northwestern Oklahoma terrain. Targets were typical Oklahoma small with a lot of diamonds. I did decent on day 1 and was sitting in the top 50 which was great giving that there were a legit 20+ of the best in the country at this match getting an idea of the finale. Day 2 did not go well as it was very switch winds and dependant of when you layed down in rotation for what it was doing at the moment. Finished in the top 100 out of 170 and walked away with a vortex Razor red dot so all was not lost.

The tower we shot 3 individual stages off of. Bottom left, top and bottom right. Lots of trouble here for a bunch of shooters.

Next 2 pics are of a barricade. 10 shots total with 2 each at your choice or rotation from the orange spots.

This was a tricky stage of sorts. There were 2 kyl/tyl (racks with progressively smaller targets) one close to where the 2 roads intersect and the other to the left in the farther mowed circle you can kinda make out. Took some left to right transition as well as dialing or holding.

Few more terrain with fog in the area rolling out.

Troop line ( targets in processing farther distances) and tower troop line pics. Keep in mind no wind or miss calls are gave on the clock. Shooter must spot their own and correct for them.

Sorry guys been in church. I'll see if I can fix the pics.

Dawico I think I fired around 250rds. I know a few stages I fininshed with a minimal amout of rounds.

Thanks. It's one of the best matches out there every year. It was a much better year for me this year as my razor went down last year. Was a tough match in general like always is. This year was rough for mirage on a few stages and german glass excelled in this area.

PRS is very interesting to me. I don't shoot long range, but I'd love to spectate at least once.
Depending on where you are at in Texas there are some small matches held monthly you could spectate at. North matches are in the Greenville area, central is College Station and south is either at Rifles Only or a couple of other ranges. These are all matches held under TxPrc (Texas Precision Rifle Club) but out in the panhandle there is a group of guys starting their own thing too. Most club matches are far more laid back and open. Big prs matches are typically fast paced in comparison but everyone is still friendly. As far as big matches in the state goes there will be one close to Glenrose called the Bushnell challenge (its a new range and a smallish match as it's first year), Lone Survivor match in College Station is a good one for spectators and Rifles Only hosts a few but I've never been down there.

A few pics from the Fall Core Classic in Baker Fl.

Match didn't go well for my self as I finished mid pack but was fun none the less.

Video from the match. Stage was 90sec. Target was 345-360yds and pretty generous at like 8" but required 2 shots per prop/barricade. I dropped 1 shot on it and ended with a 9.

Pretty sure they sale memberships but I'm not certain on that. Being it was in Florida I didn't pay much attention. I know they do a lot of training stuff out there for leo, mil and some civilian.

My dream is to purchase some land in Texas and build my own shooting range.
