Exactly. If he is such a family man, why the hell is he still working at 80 years old? He could have retired at any time and went golfing or stayed home to spend time with his family. But no, they all seem to be so hooked on the power of DC that they can't stay away. They can't bear the reality of giving up the power of their postition.
McCain's first statement after revealing the diognosis was "
I'll be back"
If someone was 80 , had the best retirement and health care and was diognosed with cancer, I'd figure they would retire and concentrate on getting better and being around family.
Senator Robert C Byrd of WV, stayed in office so long he was a slobbering fool. His staff wiped his mouth when he would drool while sitting down on the floor of the senate. He couldn't give up the power and retire either
Hmmm.... Term Limits, be a good thang...

What we need is more unemployed politicians.
You are right. I never met the man. And have no desire to. And I would expect his daughter to have a different view of him than I. I have seen his type. All I can do is go by what he shows by his actions and deeds. And for quite some years, his suck. For the life of me, I can't see why the Republican party allows Rinos like him to still run under their banner.I like how everyone thinks they know anything about this man's personal thoughts and family life. His daughter certainly doesn't agree with you. But what does she know, she's not on the internet.
He's been pissed off since he lost to Bush in the 2000 primaries... I guess he finally "got even".I didn't realize you could survive 30 years with brain cancer.
