Long story short, I have a ASUS Memopad 7 (ME173X) that crashed hard and is now stuck in what appears to be a bootloop. Attempted a factory reset without any luck. Anyone happen to have simple instructions for getting an android tablet out of a bootloop or how to reflash it?

Truth be told, I'm about ready to take it with me on my next range outing... :-|

You should be able to halt the bootloader and reset and/or reflash the firmware. It's usually a button hold while powering up. Try holding down the volume down button as you power it up, etc. Instructions are usually pretty easy to Google too.

You can also install the Android dev tools and use adb (Android Debug Bridge) to kick it into recovery.
