If you don't mind plugging the tinker toys together, they run sales on uppers and lowers occasionally that with a little creative shopping may be even less expensive. You will have to get your own sights and mags though.

Nothing wrong with PSA hardware. The only caveat is that AR10/LR308 does not have the mil-spec standardization AR15/M4 enjoys. So, if you decide on PSA, you'd be better off getting all your components from them. If you are buying a whole rifle or assembled upper and lower, you should do just fine. Otherwise, you'd need to know EXACTLY which parts are compatible.

Personally, I prefer to pick out individual parts from different vendors I prefer, like with AR15's. For that, starting with a DPMS high-profile receiver set is probably the best bet.

Regardless of the route your take... if you haven't already, reading up on threads like these is highly recommended before jumping into the 308 cesspool:

She shoots great. I'm getting about 1.5" at 100 yards. I'm also not the greatest of precision shooters and the scope only goes to 6 power. So take that how it is. Better scope, better shooter, better ammo (using Malaysian 7.62x51) probably much better groups

Not bad at all for what you are using.
