Well I must say Texas is the place to be.

Everyone is polite and respectful, Gun Friendly and people are self sufficient and hard working.

Just moved to Waco from Southern California, parents moved there from New Hampshire back in 1965 when California was the place to be.

I have visited a lot in the past 7 years for work. Really fell in love with it here.

Nice to keep my weapons and regular capacity magazines without being considered a felon.

Went to a Gun show last weekend and couldn't believe what I have been missing out on.

Wife and I are here for the long haul and look forward to making many new friends and great memories here.

Welcome, it's really a shame about California as the few times I have been out there I really like the place. Unfortunately, the politics have overwhelmed the beauty of the state. I found most folks were fairly friendly but I did find them a bit snobbish, I asked a surfer if there were any good surf shops around and he just laughed at me. Whether it was some inside joke or not I didn't know, but I don't think a Texan would have be so rude to someone who wasn't being rude to them in the first place.

Just to let you know I am a transplant myself (but from the "other" coast). I was stationed in Texas during my military career and ended up liking it enough to come back when I retired. The secret is to adopt and accept this state for what it is, which appears to be what you are doing. I for one am glad to see that, as too many of the escapees from your previous state feel they have to "change" Texas to be more like California. That is something those of us who love it here have to fight...

    Cheers! M2

Sure, another one that will be buying up all the Texas guns. Just kidding, welcome to the freer state of Texas and welcome to TGT!

I am from California north (Seattle/Portland).

    Welcome!

Imported me a hot Huntington Beach beach bunny, who loves it here.

And yes, please tell all your family and friends out there that Texas is awful, super hot, people are NOT friendly, and gas is expensive.
