No you are better off saving the cash and buying what you want. I found the items to be discontinued items not worth the price.

I never understood the concept of having someone else - with no knowledge of me personally - spend my money to pick stuff out for me...?

I have seen many websites advertising these. It reminded me of the record clubs of many years ago, except with the record clubs you were able to choose. Some of the sites offer different levels with different monthly charges. I figured most of what would come would be garbage and not worth it in the long run. When I look to buy gear I like to research what I want and buy things what I feel are worth the money.

The idea of the subscription boxes are A: you get some products at a discount because it works like a group buy in. B: you have the opportunity to try products that you may not have known about or wouldn't otherwise see. C:up and coming companies have a change to boost their business not only by having a dedicated group purchase of a certain product, but they can also use it as a way to get their name out to the public.

I'm on the fence about them.
