Not talking about the super snake. The regular Shelby f150 I was looking over at the dealership several months ago definitely had a beefier suspension than the Raptors I've seen. Then again, I haven't seen the newest Raptors. I wish I had taken a picture of the sticker, but if I recall correctly it was $85k. Fully loaded Raptors are more like $75k.

You could still build a better truck for less

Pretty sure the Raptor suspension is all the same. It's kind of what makes it a Raptor. I drive one, and it's a beast. I would imagine the Shelby is faster. But I'm more concerned with off-road capabilities. And the front bumper camera in 4x4 mode is pretty awesome.

So they fixed the taco problem when off-roading the Raptor, right? I've heard they finally put a real frame under it.

Yeah they fixed the frame on the new Raptor. But it's still not a trophy truck and you can kill one if you try.

When I lived in in SoCal we were in the off-roading /toy hauler scene for the better part of a decade. The SoCal deserts are awesome for this, but the tree huggers are slowly ruining it...

At any rate, Raptors aren't magical, but they do have warranties. My Cummins TD Ram could outpace a stock Raptor, and also pull my 18.5-lb toy hauler around...but it wasn't cheap or easy to make that happen.

You guys might be surprised what's possible in full-sized diesel truck

    I regret selling this truck.
