I moved out here about 3 months ago and finally settled down so i called 2 local ranges and was surprised to hear its $25 for a lane. Seems a little steep to me? I moved from California and the ranges out there, indoors or outdoors are $10 and gun rentals are $7. (Gun or Rifle) What gives? I know space is more expensive in Ca so why the high prices here? I normally would shoot 150-200 a week. It looks like i might have to cut it to 2 times a week out here.

I use to drive an hour and a half to go to BML Land near me in Ca and im willing to do the same here. Thanks for the responses.

Thats true to some degree. I hate only shooting paper, it gets boring after a while. If theres a range with steel or reactive targets than $25 or even $35 is money well spent in my opinion. I like to shoot 4-5 times a month to work on my shooting fundamentals. I dont think im an expert but i believe the more u train the better u get. "Stans, Muscle memory, sight alignment, trigger control ect... It'll all be natural if god forbid ur in a deadly situation.

Place to Shoot and Bullet Hole are about $10 and all the guns you can carry. Bracken and Blackhawk I believe still charge per gun. I've heard good things about Lonestar but haven't been there.

If you're going to bring more than one firearm A place to shoot is where to go. The pistol range can get a little busy but with the gravity targets you don't have to ceasefire every 20 or 30 mins. The rifle range is normally less packed than the pistol range in my experience and maybe they'll have a ceasefire every couple hours. 10+ tax to shoot. Bracken is okay but if you bring more than one firearm its going to exceed the cost of a place to shoot. If you enjoy a couple ceasefire every hour that's the spot though.
