So, not knowing a lot about planes or tanks, that thing jumps back into the air after the tank drops. What does that tank weigh, like 50 tons?

I would imagine the pilot feels light after that.

Edited because I can spell good...
I have sat on the FM road adjacent to the dirt runway many times during these "drops".
The dirt flying in the former video is minimal, at best.
When the third chute pops, the C130 grunts. Damn near stalls. Black smoke bellows from the exhaust.
The cargo slides off the tail gate and hits the red clay of West Texas and disappears in a mighty cloud of dust.
The cargo plane climbs like a Navy fighter off a carrier deck.
The cargo slides across the dry hard pan for hundreds of yards.
Much later, the dust clears. The drop was carried out successfully.
    It chills to the core.
We got some bad ass stuff going on.

I think an Abrams comes in at about 60 tons.

If you watch you will see the plane rock back as the tank throws the CG to the rear as it hits the ramp.
