Glad you're relatively ok. Any MC crash you can walk away from is a blessing.

Imho never engage the other party's insurance company. Work thru your own insurance company, or a PI lawyer.

The other insurance company does NOT have your best interest in mind, and can twist your words against you, and generally do anything they can, to minimize their liability.

Hired a large lawfirm that has great reviews. No matter what I do not pay anything out of pocket win or loose. They came out to my house on sunday lol. No matter what they said there is no way in hell I can lose this case. They will be handling everything from insurance to medical so all I have to do is go to any dr appointments they make for me.
There is always a way to lose a case. Only talking to your lawyer is a good way to protect yourself. If anybody else calls just send them to your lawyer.

May seem like common sense but figured it was worth mentioning.

Glad to hear the Lawyers are taking the case at no cost to you.

Now, what do you think of the new 2018 models? Pick one out, the Milwake 8 is a great engine.

Most PI attorneys will work on contingency - they get a third-ish of the settlement, if any.

But considering they only get paid if they win, they obviously feel that there's a good chance of getting a decent settlement if they take the case.

Keep in mind that injuries are usually treble damages - triple the medical costs are typically what the settlement is (assuming no long-term injuries or major disfigurement). And these almost always settle, because the at-fault party doesn't want a jury trial if there are injuries involved.

Glad to hear it wasn't worse.

I'd like to think the lawyer isn't needed, but these days, who knows. Insurance companies don't seem to want to pay fair value all the time.

On the flip side, I also distrust lawyers, so just make sure they don't settle for an amount that gets them paid but leaves you with less that you should get.

Kind of a, who's going to screw you the least situation. Just keep your eyes and ears open as to what all is going on and good luck.

Damn dude, this is the second one in a year isn't it? That place up there must be a mad house with retards. They are down here too but I have been lucky these few years so far.

I'd rail them for everything they have with that kind of negligence.

Whoooo thats quite the bill. I'd be surprised if insurance didn't total it. What a damn inconvenience. Disrupting your daily life like that, how selfish of the other person.
