They also have a rifle range out to 1800 if you drive up the road a little bit.

I'm a noob here but decided to break the silence when I read about this FW Meet Up. I'd like to go too. The sooner we nail down a date the better. I'm not available Nov 19 (teaching an NRA RSO course) but all other weekend are currently open.

Yeah off the bluff. I have a course out there this weekend for concealed carry tactics. I’ll talk to the manager to see what we can do. Splitting the groups up across the facility may be an issue because you usually need and instructor for a large group, which I am there but I can only be in one place at a time. I’ll see what they say

    Why do we need instructors?

I'm a "pay per visit" member. Comes out cheaper for me at the moment. Probably go yearly next spring though.

Becoming a member consists of paying either regular daily or yearly fee and signing an iPad after reading some legal jargon.

Mostly want to lock in a yearly membership in case things change or they are forced to start limiting new memberships.

I hear that. I haven’t seen it too busy there on the weekend so far, so you’re probably safe for a while. Word is starting to get out about the distance you can shoot at there though. Not too many places close to DFW to get back that far.

    Tell me about it.

Four years of .50 BMG ownership never shooting past 650 yards with it. Was shooting my .308 further.

I gladly handed my money over to Triple C in exchange for a quality ELR range just over an hour away.

I'm moving at the end of this year and need all expenses toward that, but if this comes up in the spring, I'm down.

looks like we're in the same boat. Didn't know there was a long range range relatively close.

Looks like you and I should arrange this in the spring. I may get off my butt and build a couple long range guns by then. Have a PTR91 MSR that is "supposedly" long range, but need to build a bolt gun. Perhaps I'll grab my dad's Ruger #1 300wby by then, or build up a Savage 300 winmag.

orrrrrrrrrr a BA in 338 lapua lol.

Ok- I have an update on triple C. I called today to coordinate for a course this weekend and discussed a possible meet with the manager. He said he will do half off the daily fee per person. The daily pass is $60, so that is $30pp. Obviously this doesn’t apply to existing members. Existing members also get a few guest passes per year- so feel free to coordinate sexual favors for those. I discussed the issue of the geographic separation of the bluff area that gets out to 2k or so and the area in the picture I posted. Tentatively, since I’m insured and an instructor there- I’ll act as a safety for that area. If guys go to the bluff area- they need to be with a member that will assume responsibility.

    Sounds fairly reasonable to me
