That's the way the guy at the gun store phrased it. Haha. The correct term is Californicate.
I've notice that. Almost everyone I've met here came from southern California. You're going to unfortunately discover that about 60 to 70% of the people in the county south of you are from California.. and they brought their liberal ideologies with them.
From San Jose, CA to Round Rock, TX.Welcome! Where in Cali did you move from and where in Texas did you land?
Only have OD green Oakleys, don't drink coffee, and will die before I ever wear Crocs. Enjoying it so far!Throw away your white sunglasses, Starbucks coffee mug and Croc sandals....and enjoy being a Texan
I have definitely noticed that most people are a lot nicer here.Wife and I made the move from So Cal.
Same as you, we love it and don’t want Texas in anyway to be like California.
Texans are polite, respectful, independent and best of all Gun Lovers.
My boss brought us Round Rock donuts my first day at work. Pretty good. Haven't been to Salt Lick yet, but the people I know who love BBQ say it's crap.Have you had "Round Rock" donuts yet? Have you been to The Salt Lick for BBQ, yet? Get out and explore! Texas is beautiful! I'm an ex-Californian also, and I can't even imagine moving back with those morons in government
I will definitely take note of these! Thanks! Anywhere have authentic mexican food? I'm love tacos and haven't found anything but tex mex here.Different style, but not crap. You've got to go to Louie Meuller's in Taylor. Also, take a weekend to go to Lockhart, the BBQ headquarters for Texas! Kreuz (kreyetz) Market, Smitty's, Black's! Three of the top ten for the whole state! You're close to Austin, so you've got to go stand in line for Franklin's. Also, search out Juan in a Million for great Mexican. As you can tell, I am a motorcycle riding, rifle shootin, pistol packin texan with an eating disorder!mI'm on a see food diet, I see food, I eat it!

Congrats on moving to Texas and welcome to the forum. Looks like you made it out just in time since California has now banned travel to Texas.Fiance and I moved here a month ago. Loving every minute of it so far. Don't worry, I won't California your Texas.
TexMex rules!Anywhere have authentic mexican food? I'm love tacos and haven't found anything but tex mex here.
Not that I agree with all of them, but.................Haven't been to Salt Lick yet, but the people I know who love BBQ say it's crap.

They only banned state-funded travel to Texas. We came out here with nothing but a truck and a 6x12 trailer.Congrats on moving to Texas and welcome to the forum. Looks like you made it out just in time since California has now banned travel to Texas.
I don’t know, I basically grew up in little Mexico in California. Place needs to have good salsa or that’s a deal breaker.CA gets Baja-Mex.
Not everything Texas is tex-mex...I think you'll soon find Texas has some of the best Mexican food you've ever had.
With influences from all over Mexico, not just Baja.

Sadly, I’ve been here for almost 2 months and haven’t been able to get bbq yet. Buddy had recommended a lot of these places actually, but I work grave shift, so it makes it hard to get it before it’s gone. Not that I agree with all of them, but.................
