I'm finished with the NFL. Love the Cowboys but until the league does something, bye. It was bad enough when some team members wouldn't put their hand on their heart during the anthem but this is too much.

Hollywood cinemas wonder why their movie revenues are so low. All they have to do is leave their fairytale utopian, politically correct world for a moment and instruct their “stars” to keep their mouth shut on things like gun rights, BLM, Confederate flag/monument issues, etc. And just maybe they’d connect with Mr. and Mrs. Mainstream America, again.
The NFL could learn a valuable lesson from the study of Hollywood’s late, great revenue resource stream or alternatively, they can standby and watch theirs “dry up” too.

Just NASCAR today. Steelers stayed in locker room, Ravens in London, disrespect National Anthem but respected the British Anthem. Are they confused about which country brought slavery to America and which one ended slavery in America?

They have the right to not stand or even play the anthem, just as you have the right to not watch it. It's all a distraction though, from another failure to modify Obamacare. As long as you are aware of that.
The stars and stripes does not represent the police, nor does it represent Trump. Hold up a sign to show your displeasure for something in general for all I care. Too many people died defending that flag for me to not be upset about it. That flag represents all Americans and to me it represents the greatest country on earth, and if you don't like what it represents ..... LEAVE!

They have the right to be disrespectful. And I have the right to boycott.

If these folks really care about the plight of blacks, why don't they actually DO something?

Help promote families and marriage, to reduce the problems of single mothers. Help with vocational training, so the young can find decent jobs. Support incentives to get folks working and off welfare. Get involved with the lousy schools which are too prevalent in many minority areas. Mentor young people. Don't like the plight of minorities? Help out.

But that takes concern, time and energy to do something positive and helpful. Much easier to just take a knee or sit in a locker room. Don't worry that it is not accomplishing a single thing.

This isn't a distraction from anything Ocare related.

The division is general is a distraction, but this single act is in no way a distraction from any other single act.

Also, I see know issue with people exercising their right to free speech to say that these players are ignorant and unpatriotic, and that they are disrespecting every soldier who's sacrificed blood so that they can live in such comfort that they can be mad over fictitious issues. It's a race to the bottom when it comes to the Virtue Signaling Olympics.

There have been 321 arrests of NFL players since the end of the 2009 season. The charges range all over the board, including things as minor as driver's license violations to charges much more serious, including Aaron Hernandez' arrest for murder. In many cases the charges were later dropped.

The problem with the NFL is that their soaring popularity and unlimited earnings went to the heads of management. Just as is the case with Hollywood, they think no one can get along without them, and that it is their destiny to be social justice warriors and save the world from evil! Makes me mad because I have been a die-hard Packer fan since the early 60's growing up in Wisconsin. Now all the telecasts are on and on about who stood and who kneeled and who squatted, yadda, yadda yadda. If they would shut up about it and kept it about football, maybe I could stand it. Oh well, my Dripping Springs Tigers are off to a good start this season, and there is nothing like High School Football in Texas!
