I turned on the game at noon today, heard what the non patriots did and turned it off. Ended up at the new Kingsmen movie. Which was great. To hell with the NFL. Don't need them.

The NFL, players, and other sports organizations (NBA) are screaming because Trump introduced politics into the game. What the H%$l were they doing with their protests, putting politics into the game. DUH. They are paid to play football, not protest. If they desire to protest on their own time, fine. Go to your current job and start protesting about politics on your job site and see how long you are employed. Most places not long. Do your job and take your politics elsewhere.

The rest of the story is the really good athletes have been given a free ride(basically) through high school and college because of their physical abilities. Some I have met are barely literate, much less educated. And this is our role models????

My last thought. If you were born in America (or naturalized) you are an American, period. Not a hyphenated whatever, an American, be proud of your heritage and your flag. Honor it and all it stands for. Many lives have been lost over the years to allow that flag to fly proudly. Don't like it here, move and find out what the real world is about.

The schools will be next. Total disrespect for flag and country, and the media can't wait to cover every bit of it. Nothing like biting the hand that feeds you. So maybe they should try living in Russia or China and find out what racism is all about. Let see how much money they can make there if they can stay out of jail.

They have a right to kneel. I have the right to boycott the NFL.

That's pretty much my take on it. Leaving out the aspect of what paid employees are doing on company time, them taking a knee for whatever cause this was about originally is fine by me and their right, beats burning down the Boost Mobile kiosk in the hood, as far as forms of peaceful protest goes. And nobody's pointing a gun at me making me watch them do it.

This is where I disagree. They give up their individual rights when they put on a uniform representing someone else. For example, I have have an individual right to support the confederate veterans, argue the Civil War was against more than slavery, and suggest BLM and Antifa are domestic terrorist groups. But, if I do it wearing a Texas A&M uniform, I could lose my job.

If these men want to protest wars, protest police, or protest the president, they have the individual right to do that, and they should...on their own dime. To use the NFL as a platform while representing an organization they don't own should be an offense worthy of being terminated. Just my $0.02.

If it is in line with what the owners of the team feel then they did not give up the right.

The NFL collective barginning agreement has a behavior detrimental to the image of the league clause, or something similar. That is what they are using to try and suspend Zeke.

So the league or the owners could use that clause to stop this nonsense.

IIRC, this whole mess started when Collin Stepingonhis...ick did it to protest cops shooting unarmed black men. Apparently shooting unarmed women of any color is okay with him.

You point certainly has some merit. But unfortunately, as Shady noted, both the league and the owners are backing the disrespect.
