Zinc you beat me to it....
I agree. I am more worried about North Korea right now more than any of this. I can care less what Lebron, Golden State Warriors team, or what any NFL player etc. believes. They are not role models, and they sure as heck don't care about us. Trump's statement did nothing positive for anyone, not even himself or his constituents. Kneeling during the anthem is now here to stay, and for all to do whenever they want...

As I said, teams that allow this will no longer see a red cent from me.

Also it was not just the campaign rally (why are you still doing campaign rallies?) But nearly 20 tweets.
granted, regarding the tweets. But why rallies? Are you that naive? Each and every time he holds a rally, it puts up a big "fuck you" with both middle fingers at the Leftards and media who think this all just a mistake and will be over soon. Hell, we're halfway to the midterms and he's in full-on campaign mode and supporting those who support him and his vision. You (and others) may not like that, but that's exactly what he's doing.

So are you saying Trump is distracted from North Korea because of a blurb he said? I doubt that, the media certainly is. Do you really think that if he didn't say something there that the media wouldn't find something else? This is an all out attack on Trump from day one, they will criticize one way or another. We have had mostly presidents more concerned with being re-elected then speaking out against anyone, right or wrong. Trump speaks his mind and I for one find that refreshing, I don't now wonder if the president is going to cow to pressure as much.

Such as it is. I wish somebody would tell him to stay the eff off twitter. And let me re-state that while I think the kneelers are a bunch of disrespectful jackasses, it is their right as Americans to exercise their right to be jackasses because a, First Amendment, and b, freedom, and c, it does not behoove the office of the President of the United States to publicly demand people be fired for exercising that right.

He did not demand, seems most everyone fixates on what the media says and not what is actually said. As I said, it was an 80 minute speech yet most everyone has reduced it to 2 minutes and goes off on how it is portrayed.

Man, if you think I'm listening to 80 minutes of anybody's speech, you don't know me. I specifically mentioned Twitter, did I not?

So, that's not "what the media says", that's straight from the source.

Finally ... a President that says/ad libs what he thinks, instead of just what you want to hear, from a teleprompter.

    For right now they are...

My thoughts are this: Should Trump have said anything? NO! He had no business bringing the office of the presidency into the NFL in the first place. There was nothing to gain. Did he really think the teams would simply "fire" star players just because he said they should? (Don't answer that ;) ) He should have let them do as they do, and it would have faded away, but no; now it's an epidemic that is here to stay for a while.

President Trump was merely echoing the thoughts of a lot of Americans, he just has a bigger pulpit. In case you haven't noticed he's not politically correct.

And no where in there was a demand. Nothing different than what most are saying about it.
Nowhere is it written that a sitting POTUS should be without an opinion, or be allowed to voice it. Just put the Constitution and the betterment of this country above his opinion.
Do they have a right to protest for Black rights? YES
Do they have a right kneel and disrespect this Country because their feelings are hurt? YES.
Do we have a right to think they should be fired for it and make the NFL suffer monetarily? Damned right we do!
They can kiss my skinny white ass! Any sympathy I had for them or their cause is now contempt.

We should ask the people of our US territory in Puerto Rico what their thoughts are on his spending time on Twitter about this important topic. What's that? They still don't have power it running water post Maria? Well Potus has priorities...

That's pretty much my take on it. Leaving out the aspect of what paid employees are doing on company time, them taking a knee for whatever cause this was about originally is fine by me and their right, beats burning down the Boost Mobile kiosk in the hood, as far as forms of peaceful protest goes. And nobody's pointing a gun at me making me watch them do it.
When you are at work there is no first amendment. A private employer can in fact tell you what to do when on the job. The NFL is an antiAmerican company that supports anything that will tear down this country. And they have that right. We have the responsibility not to or to support them. To hell with the NFL

No, it would be better if he focused on his actual job. Maybe something would get done.
