I don't see that happening unless there is a total collapse of republican elections and the house is yet again a democrat majority or many more republicans turn rino. Personally I hope not, for I think she's either delusional or demented.

This is how the electorate has voted from the beginning of time:
    Party A sucks.
    Party B voted in.
    Party B sucks.
    Party A voted back in.

    Lather,rinse, repeat.
It's bound to happen again. And again...

Pelosi has steered enough of CA money into her husband's business coffers.
That state needs smarter voters...LOL as if that will ever happen, they're all moving out!

Speaker of the house doesn't really have to do with what state they are from. It's a yea or nay votes by all the U.S. representatives to those nominated.

But, if she doesn't win her district, she can't be Speaker. Hence, the logic of the post you quoted. The idiots remaining in Cali haven't the heart or inclination to turn their backs on con artists like Pelosi.

Her district is SOLIDLY Dem so there is little chance she won't win if she runs. The last Primary had her with about 80% of the vote and her closest competitor (Libertarian) only managed to get 7.7% with the Repub getting 7.6%. CA has a "Top 2" system so the chance she will ever run against a Repub is slim to none. If she is unseated it will be by another Dem challenger.

Some of that article is correct though it leaves out a LOT as well but the conclusions about how to fix things are idiotic given the CA location and most of the national recommendation as well.

Writer says they need to provide more suburban housing opportunities...in CA where sprawl and costs have already forced people to drive 3+ hours each way to work. Where the population of just Los Angeles County is bigger then 42 State populations. How far out does the writer think people are willing to live from where they work?

The author conveniently also forgets that the previous round of suburbanization he touts as a solution, was driven by white flight out of the increasingly crowded/crime-ridden cities.
