Ya know, I just had a weird out of the box thought, and I googled it, and what do you know?

    It exists.

The best guns for a Texas road trip are bigguns!

Well, according to the directions outlined in the beginning of the thread you are asked to only choose ONE gun. So this doesn't qualify. Unless one of the pair can be left at home. Or if they can be formed into a 'uniboob'; that might work.

I recently drove across Texas to spend a couple of months with my buddy and kill hogs, entered up by Mule Shoe and drove all the way to Canton. In the truck were at least thirty rifles and pistols along with thousands of rounds of ammo. At no time did i have a concern about being undergunned, meeting Texas standards (12 of the rifles were AR's), or being stopped by the police and having to explain my actions ( i did have these feelings in Colorado).
I emptied about a thousand or more .223 cases before returning home. Oh yea! Forty two hogs bit the dust.

A well set-up 1911A1 or LW commander in .45 ACP, AND a Steyr Scout in .308.

I'm from New Jersey, where NOBODY is permitted to carry, so my everyday carry is chap stick so if there is trouble I can kiss my ass good-bye.
LMAO! At least you've retained your sense of humor about the situation!

My EDC, a Kimber Super Carry Pro .45 plus an extra clip on me. I keep another clip in my truck. I keep it in a mag pouch that I glued super magnets to and stick it under the dash.
