Had this new rifle about 6 months now and is literally a blast to shoot! Topped with a SWFA 10x42 super sniper scope. Hope to one day top it with a NF.

No kidding. No club range near me allows 50BMG or anything even wildcatted on its case.

    BTW beautiful rifle!

    Looks familiar!

Don't sweat the optic too much. I've been running the same one and prefer it to my 6-24X Vortex.

Also, check out Allied Precision Arms for an awesome bipod. Make sure to look at the extended handle for the cant lock.

How tall is that v2 bipod?

I'll have to measure it when I get to the house.

I find it pretty comfortable from prone and from the bench. May have a couple of pics with it mounted.

This is with the package they sell that has the bipod, extended lock handle, monopod, and the spring bolt thing that lets you slide the butt pad up and down without tools.

Do you reload or just factory? Reason why I ask about the height is because of the local range setup. They have boards setup now for safety reasons and too much height is not good.

The Bipod is 6 3/4". To the top of the barrel is 9 3/4".

I load my own ammo. It's much cheaper for plinking and target. Think I had plinking ammo down to $2 or so a round without trying real harder and with cheaper powder options available. Match ammo is still costly due to the price of bullets but shoots better and still several dollars cheaper per shot than factory Amax loads from Hornady.

I sold mine too. Could only shoot it at one range and that was only 600 yards. The only gun I regret selling.

The car company or the movie theater? Perhaps you're thinking about ASC.

(Just busting your chops Ben. )
Perhaps I meant to say that Pacers and Gremlins are the best targets for .50s. :)

But yes, I meant ASC. Thanks for the heads-up.

Side note about ASC - Back when Houston was in the running for the Olympics (2002, iirc), ASC was going to be the shooting venue. I had been the shooting sports coordinator for the 1986 Olympic Festival in Houston so I went out there and asked if they were able to put my name on the list of volunteers or if I needed to contact USA Shooting or someone else. They looked at me like I was crazy and said if the "match" (Yes, the manager used that word.) came there, they'd handle it.

They had no idea that if Houston had gotten the Olympics, that entire pitiful excuse for a shooting facility would have been bulldozed. I doubt they realize it even now.

My point? It's funny how things work out. Back then, I wanted the Olympics. Now, I'm happy that Houston still has a 600-yard public range.

Ok, thanks for checking the height. I want to reload for it some day, but will need anot her press. Mine likes the Amax best. Bought some surplus it doesn't really like that.
