Brady will claim the company was negligent in that it should have know its product would be used for mass murder.

Leftists aren't able to comprehend that sane people don't expect other people to commit mass murder. Just as Ford doesn't expect someone to buy an F-550 because it could plow through a larger crowd than an F-150.

Yep, should be; which is one reason I’d personally fight it. However, even to have to defend against it, will cost $$$ - a very small company may not be able to afford it. Now if they can win (even a summary judgment) AND counter sue the Brady group to recoup their defense out-of-pocket losses, then maybe justice will have been served.
The problem is it will take millions to even get it in front of a judge and the company will be bankrupt before that happens. There is no deep pockets pro-2A person to fund their defense unlike the left has in Soros.

A company that manufactures a legal product, and sells into the stream of commerce . . . whose product works exactly as designed (meaning it wasn't defective), should not be on the hook for someone who makes criminal misuse of the product. The product worked exactly as designed, it was legal when made, when sold, and when used. This does NOT fall into the category of a faulty product that is inherently dangerous in and of itself. There ought to be a summary judgment early on in this.

You are absolutely correct. But sadly the world does not always work that way.

On Fox news a little while ago they gave the list of who all is named in the suit. I think I am also on he list, you might be too, it was a long list.

    Chances of winning:

Guy was practicing for an Ironman event. He had gone to a wrecking yard and removed a set of seatbelts from a car and he had bought a used refrigerator. He strapped the fridge to his back with the seatbelts.

He was running on a local school track with it on his back. The seatbelts gave way, fridge fell on his legs crippling him. He SUED the Seatbelt mfg...

    HE WON!

Hopefully a freedom law group will pick this lawsuit up and defend this company. If not we as gun owners might look to support this company through a defense fund of some kind.

I would venture he didn't "win" but that the seatbelt maker simply settled with him for less then what it would have cost them to go to trail and win their case.

It sets a bad precedent and encourages other frivolous suits but the Corp bean counters have a short sighted view.

The Brady's would just dump the cost on the plaintiffs as they did in the Jessica Gawhi case.

Nothing wrong with that. The more people get bankrupted by piling onto frivolous suits the better. Maybe after a few families are out on welfare and forced to live in ghettos people would think things through.

If the Brady’s file the suit they are fair game in a countersuit though.

Agreed. It was the antis who really raised a stink over it.

Would a gofundme be available for Slidefire? We cannot let these scumbags get away with this. I'm not sure why the winner still needs to pay for their own legal defense in frivolous cases like these.

I’m hoping one of the pro 2A groups will pitch in with their legal counsel, if needed. Or maybe they carry some kind legal insurance for such instances as this. Like has been said, maybe it’ll get thrown out early (like it should be).

Our 1 hope is that it goes before a pro judge...spoons don’t make people fat, frying pans don’t cause house fires and drinking Bourbon does not make one an alcoholic...

    Liberals NEVER take blame.
Hillary is a poster child for this.

that sort of linear-thinking prevents dumbasses from seeing the bigger picture...oligarch-rigged false flags. one hand washes the other.

hypocrisy is ripe on both sides, especially this inept/incompetent admin.

It's nothing new. Goes way back.

Take the sinking of the Titanic for example. Ice flows just happen to be flowing further south than usual. Captain just happens to ignore warnings. Lookout just happens to not notice the massive ice berg until it's too late. There just happens to be too few life boats. Many of the life boats just happen to not be launched. Nearby ship just happens to no hear the distress call and sails away. Captain just happens to go down with the ship so nobody can question him. And that's just the "tip of the iceberg".

    People need to wake up.

    Exactly.

A ship specifically designed to withstand impacts with icebergs using cutting edge technology of the time.

Guess they didn't expect CIA to figure it as such a good test subject for new naval warefare strategies.
