Sorta got flamed elsewhere when I said something I'll say again....
I like introducing newbie-non-gunners to my gun passion by instructing then using my Ruger Single-Six with CCI "Quiet" 710FPS ammo.
They completed the experience with a smile.
I've seen buddies introduce newbie-non-gunners to shooting with a 1911 45ACP.
They completed the experience intimidate or frightened.
Wheel guns are a marvelous introductory tool.
If I had to pick one handgun for life it'd be a 4" .357 wheel.
Glad I don't have to pick one.

My Rohlm RG25 keyholes at 10' ! Was my ex father in laws. it was his night stand and "social purposes" gun.
I just bought a really ugly wheel gun, a 4510 polly Taurus Judge,2 1/2' cylinder,2" barrel. It is remarkably easy to shoot, DA is not as heavy as I thought it would be, and sa is quite nice. This one is for mowing / hiking as snakes are common here, and I hear Coyotes 'talking ' fairly often here.
