From what I read about a felony stop is if a person is suspected of having committed a serious crime. Carrying a rifle on a motorcycle, although some snowflakes may look at it as the end is near, is hardly grounds for being suspected of committing a serious crime.

Easy Rider, to a police officer ANY situation where there is a 100% chance the officer knows before or as the stop is being made that a firearm is going to be involved their senses are raised and that kind of stop could play out. Why? Simple question with a simple answer. We are HUMANS with families just like you. When you get off work at Walmart you want to go home. Well, so do we! We are more than willing to treat a stop as a « felony » stop (high risk, etc.) until we know the circumstances. But when an officers is ordered by dispatch to observe a « person with a gun@ then that’s the result.

Here’s a better question? Why not simply do what the rest of the gun living world mostly does and simply break it down to the upper and lower and out of sight? I do that with machine guns. I don’t go riding my my Honda 4trax in my neighborhood with my MP5K or my MK760 on my shoulder, even though it’s legal for me to do so. Why? Cause there’s a 100% chance when people see my two submachine guns they want to inquire (cops at the range on their days are for some odd reason the MOST inquisitive) about my NFA toys.

By the way. I will admit this one small transgression from the other day. I was at the HEB at FM3009 in Schertz and was pumping diesel into my dually and just HAD TO get out my full auto MK760 submachine gun 9mm and strap it right over my shoulder and then walk over to pay my gas at the window. I did this on a dare from my friend. The poor girl at the window just stared at me the entire time. Never said a single word. Walked right back to my truck, closed the gas tank, and left.

For the Walmart remark, I guess maybe I should call you a mall cop.

And as I had said, I have my rifle out of sight in a soft case when on my bike.

I tend to start ignoring people when the best they can do is assume this that disagree with then work at a job they consider menial.

I just want to say I have a deep respect for law enforcement, but I don't abide anyone looking down their nose at me and that's how that read to me.

Dude, if you worked at Walmart think of all the sweet chicks you could pick up...and they'd be easy to keep happy, because they shop at Walmart!
Man you need to google « Walmart chicks » and see the photos. No bueno (((insert San Antonio accent)))

    Wedge1,

OBVIOUSLY you don't moonlight/shop at the Austin Hwy Walmart Supercenter. = MANY, MANY scorching HOT Latinas from late teens to about 35YO shop there & some in the Summertime qualify for the grand prize as decidedly: "Most Undressed".

    BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.

    yours, satx

    austin edwards,

    First: WELCOME ABOARD.

I would check out GT DISTRIBUTORS in Austin & other TX cities for a motor-officer's type of guncase & that LOCKS to the MC & locks the rifle into the case TOO..
(I personally know 2 officers who have had a long-gun stolen out of a leather holster off of their MC in the last few years. = Doesn't take but seconds to snatch a rifle & flee.)

    yours, satx

    easy rider,

SMART!! = One of the motor officers, who had his rifle stolen, had it stolen DURING a traffic stop. =======> EMBARRASSING.
(Like I said, snatch & flee takes only an eye-blink.)
