Recently added a Henry .22 LR to the gun safe. Curious if anyone has found a way to mount a sling to it without having to drill into the stock? Looking for a nice leather sling and also curious if anyone knows of a company making leather shell holders (on the stock) for the Henry's in .22LR?

    It is a Henry.

Just shoot it as it comes out of the box.

A sling would just get in the way of everything.

    Be well.

As usual, about as useful as tits on a boar hog. SMH

OP, drilling for sling studs is no big deal. You can probably find a good tutorial on YouTube. As for the buttstock ammo carrier, there are quite a few leather makers out there that make them, but I've never seen one for .22LR. You might try emailing or calling a few of them to see if they'll make you one.

But telling someone to drill into the stock when they already said they didn't want to drill into the stock is helpful?!? :(

OP, you have options, you just need to search a little harder. For example...

I didn't tell him to drill it, and he didn't specifically say he didn't want to. Based on his hesitancy, I offered advice that might help him understand the process. And that's a hell of a lot more of a genuine attempt to be helpful than the other shit that was posted.

If someone wants a sling on a rifle, it's their decision.

    What's so difficult about that..?

Oh right, they're not you..but should abide by your decision.

    Gotcha!

Dude. Home run. Thanks for posting this. I just found this thread, but have been trying to figure out a sling for a couple of my lever action rifles. I have two on the way. FOr my 22 Henry rifle, and also the Win 44 mag rifle.

    Gracias!
