Where/how does Magtech ammo rate? I thought it was one that had the coating that would gum up/foul up your gun quicker. And I could be totally wrong. What say you?

I think you are talking about the USA FORGED by Winchester. It's a really dirty steel case ammo.

I've used Magtech before with zero problems.

It's probably store specific, but just found some AE 5.56 at my WM for $5 on clearance...

    Zero issues with magtech in 9, 40 & 45.

Anyone have any deals on 40 ammo? Just got a beretta 96 I want to try out

Could have changed, but like 12 years ago I bought some Magtech .45, and it was pretty hot... felt like +p, even though it wasn't labelled as such... didn't break anything, though.

Just in case you’re a member of the S&W 3913 cult, there’s one priced $400 at the Weatherford Gibson’s.

Slightly less than I recently paid for one recently (I haven’t had it long enough to decide if it’s all that.)

I saw it this past weekend. Really nice and definitely worth $400

Magtech is decent ammo. I have never had an issue with it.
The only downside to Magtech I've ever known is that in years past Magtech ammo was specifically prohibited for use during the CHL instructors course administered by the state. They had the same prohibition against Monarch ammo.

I have no idea what the current situation is. If anyone has recently become a new LTC instructor, they could comment on the ammo restrictions.

Personally, I've shot lots of Magtech with never a problem.
