Senate requirements say you don't have to be a non-convict. You can be a felon and run for Senate you just can't vote.
No, the constitution sets the age requirements, but says nothing about felony convictions. However, each State can say for itself whether a convicted felon can run for office or not. I'm unsure of what Maryland says about the issue.

Yes, but people posting after I said this mentioned that it’s not an issue even so. Can still run even so apparently?
yep, I saw that, and some searching has revealed that his running for Senate in Maryland would be legal.

To Southpaw: that link shows the qualifications for running for office in Maryland (including Senate); however, it makes no mention of disqualifications. Such things aren't to be assumed merely because they're not stated.

Um, can't hold a clearance anymore. Would make holding a fed office a bit difficult.

That's an assumption the rule of law applies equality. Hillary Rodham Clinton isn't in jail. I wouldn't think this guy couldn't even be able to attempt it. It's the law right? He's a democrat....communist sexual deviant. It feels as if it's a joke.

We need to secede from this train wreck. There's no saving it.

III. How Intelligence-Sharing Works at Present
There are no written rules, agreed to by both branches, governing what intelligence will be shared with the Hill or how it will be handled. The current system is entirely the product of experience, shaped by the needs and concerns of both branches over the last 20 years. While some aspects of current practice appear to have achieved the status of mutually accepted "policy," few represent hard-and-fast rules. "Policy" will give way when it has to.
    In General
All Members of Congress have access to intelligence by virtue of their elected positions. They do not receive security clearances per se.
