I think that because his username STARTS with an S he doesn't like his guns to END with an S. At least that's my theoryBut but... The PPK/S is just a PP with a PPK slide and barrel. How can you like the two but not that one? Unless for "purist" reasons?
Carry my DS most every day. Most folks wonder why. "It's a Colt...they don't make 'em anymore"....Meh...it'll out-last me...

I had one of these many years ago. I think I bought it at McBrides in Austin in 1980 for $25. Turned out to be fairly worthless. It was chambered in .22 short and had a smooth bore barrel. Problem was, it would only fire the round after 3 hammer strikes. But it sure did look good.
Direct blowback pistols in general are a little more snappy than other mechanisms, but it's only a .380Are PPKs really as hellish to shoot as I've read some commentators claim?
It sucks as a range toy. As a carry gun it is awesome.Hoji, how is it shooting that 380? I would like to hear a first hand account.
I have a 25 and 32 Seacamp and was going to get the 380, then I heard that they were very hard on the knuckles.
What has been your experience?
I believe they were made by Butler, who was bought out by Colt. As you say, they are good looking, but I've never shot it.I had one of these many years ago. I shoot the magazines I have loaded every six months at 2-3 yards( the range I would most likely have to use it) to refresh my muscle memory and that is all I shoot it.

And with my classic 1912 vintage M1903
Is that one of the reproductions that Colt licensed US Armament to make a few years ago?
Neat pair!
