If you're ever in Dallas, I'm a member at DFW gun range, they have free rentals for members. I'd be happy to meet you there if you want to shoot whatever they have to rent...or can bring some of mine.
wow, thanks man, I appreciate the offer!

I'll have to check out Eagle gun range. I've got quite a few guns already in a handful of common calibers, its just picking the next one! Are there no gun ranges closer to Mckinney? No outdoor ranges with targets beyond 200 yards either? Seems like a business opportunity for someone!

Hoping to complete a build of a AR 6.5 Creedmoor. I have the lower and a parts kit, have had it for months, still need a stock for it.

2017 was awful time-wise. Had some staff changes, and I worked more hours in 2017 than I have in more than a decade. Hoping we have our S together and can have some free time this year. Which should allow me to finish my build out. Have not even started it yet.

I would also like to get in a shotgun league possibly. Summer or fall would be ideal. I know they have some at Elm Fork range here in Dallas. Would love to have my son join me in that, but he has a baby, so that's likely a no-go.

While not on my goal list I have to share this one.

Last weekend was the Louisiana State smallbore and air rifle silhouette match. I took second place in my classification in both Standard and Hunter rifle (smallbore) on Saturday. The big news is Sunday was the air rifle match where everyone picked their one rifle category to shoot (out of three). I didn't shoot particularly well but it was enough to beat out the other folks shooting Sporter air rifle to get the state championship.

Yes, I am. Still don't have any money for them, but, I still have goals.

Need to shore up the backstop out back a bit, clear up a bit of overgrowth, and get the spool moved to where it needs to be, and I'll have a nice lil' .22 lane.

My 2018 goal was a belt fed.....Still waiting on the Right Sideplate from HALO for the 1919A4..but in the meantime, got all the parts together to start milling the bolts, lock frames and barrel extensions. Full auto on the left, semi on the right. Will build and register as a semi on a Form 2, then register the full auto bolt also on a Form 2 as the Post Dealer Sample machine gun. That way it won't be a married host and I will be able to keep the gun if I give up our License.... as a semi only...and just give up the registered bolt...
