    Damn.
Just keep driving them bastards our way.

    Gonna be a reckoning.
I wanted no part of it.
Looks like it won't be my choice soon enough.

To help middle class families? Haha the state gives no sh!ts about the middle class there. They only care about the wealthy "philanthropists" and low income voters being enticed to vote D.

Because they can't seem to figure out that someone actually has to pay for all the feel good and free stuff they want.

They don't understand there's no such thing as government money, but they're convinced they shouldn't have to pay for it themselves.

I have mentioned previously that I was born and raised in CA. Moved to Texas in 2009, went back there in 2015 and then moved back here last year. It was bad there when I left the first time. When I went back I was convinced they lost their damn minds.

The residents there bitch non stop about how expensive things are, how high taxes are and so forth, the decisions that are made by the government and then recoil in horror at the idea that you quit voting for the same people putting these policies into place.

There is not a tax that the people there won't vote for. It's absolute insanity.

    Not all Californian's are libtards.

Those idiots in Sacto will be raking in millions with the new recreational marijuana law/taxes, not to mention the new $2.00 dollar/pack tobacco tax, and the new state taxes on gasoline, diesel fuel and car registration fees.

Once I leave this state, I ain't never looking back and I wont be bringing any PRK "values" with me.

Good luck to you, Ranger. I received my CA car registration renewal papers in the mail a few weeks ago. I see they raised those fees, too. Sad. Maybe one day California will be a place worth living in again.

No need for me to leave liberalism at the border for me...never had them in the first place. I brought my conservative views with me.

Honestly even though I was born and raised in CA, the last 30 years or so I just never felt like I belonged there, it stopped feeling like home.

    Texas is home.

Dallas seems to be going to hell politically, but it's still way better than Los Angeles.

I hope so, but not likely in my lifetime. I was lucky enough to be born in northern California about 45 miles north of Sacramento. The state really does need to be split, since southern California and the coastal regions have nothing in common with the northern counties at all.

I grew up and worked with lots of people from Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas (dust-bowl era parents), and have often been mistaken from being from there, as I picked up the slang. Yes, this state seems like I am living behind "enemy lines" now, as I grew up in the 1960's here, when this state was a really nice place to live in.

It just gets better and better...

California Democrats want some businesses to fork over half tax-cut savings to state
Calling the Trump administration’s tax reform plan a “middle-class tax increase,” two California lawmakers introduced a bill that would force large companies to fork over half of their expected savings to the state.
