I gave up watching organized sports 20 years ago and I can't remember the last time I watched even 5 minutes of a World Series or Super Bowl. With that in mind, we are all aware of how liberal the NFL has become and the ongoing fiasco with the kneeling nonsense. When/if you tune into the Super Bowl, consider that it is akin to watching the Oscars or the Golden Globes. If you disagree, read the following article of how they reneged on offering an ad spot to the largest veterans group in the nation.

My family and children won't be watching any of that garbage. I have always hated football so no loss there. The only thing I have to say is that I hope the nfl enjoys the falling ratings and profits. Ask NASCAR how alienating their audience is working out for them

As soon as it went from a couple players to whole teams, I bought a "I don't kneel" T shirt and quit watching the NFL. I used to enjoy watching it, but now I can care less. Yep f'em.

I will be wearing that T shirt super bowl Sunday, but I won't be watching.

I've seen the story, but what I haven't seen is how is the NFL rejecting the ad? I thought the TV station paid all that money so they could turn around and sell TV commercials during the game for astronomical prices?

So did the tv station reject it, or does the NFL itself have the right to veto commercials they are not selling?

TV has nothing to do with it. The AMVETS "ad" was to be placed on one of the pages of the game program that folks attending the game in person would receive (buy) there at the stadium.

I believe it was their Super Bowl program that the veteran group wanted to run ad.
