    I quit watching last year.
    No more tobacco advertising.
Soon there'll be no more alcohol advertising.
    Too PC for me anymore.

The old moonshiners crowd has been pushed aside and forgotten.

NASCAR letting a foreign brand compete is what really pissed me off. They let them buy Chevy, Ford, and Dodge engines to take apart, and then use the best ideas of each brand. The American makes had to do all their development on their own. This gave Toyota a big leap and within a little over a year, they were a dominant force. Joe Gibbs, former Redskins coach, sold his damn soul to be a Toyota NASCAR owner. I thought WE won world war 2!

Meh. Toyota builds more cars and trucks in the US than Ford does.
I really don't care about manufacturer.
I don't believe in the message anymore.

I watched for decades. Don't confuse my position.
    I watched Richard Petty.
    Dale Earnhardt .
    Ward Burton.
    Sterling Marlin.
    Dale Yarborough.
    Darrell Waltrip.
    ETC.

It ain't been the same in a while.
Looks like wrestling , with cars now.

That's about what happened to IMSA racing. The Porches were all around 700 - 750 hp, Then they allowed Nissan and Jaguar with their 1000+ hp and changed the dynamics of the sport.
The owner of the company I worked at in the 80's raced Porche in IMSA, and after they changed the rules the sport has become obscure.

Why I quit watching NHRA drag racing. They kissed GM' s butt in Pro Stock, and ended up with "my Chevy is faster than your Chevy". Why Bob Glidden retired. They added so many rules, weight on Glidden's car, he was unable to compete. The legend of Pro Stock and they did him that way! Now you just get to watch GM vs GM. There's a few feeble efforts by Mopar, but inconsequential.
