You can bump fire easily without the stock. Just use a loose hand on the pistol grip and pull forward on the handguard. People have been doing it for decades without the gimmicky stocks.

This is some bad shit if it happens because everyone can still bump fire any semi-auto rifle even without the stock. It solves nothing and the grabbers will come back again for all semi-autos saying "See? You can still do it!". Playing right into their schemes. I hope Trump and his people at the ATF are smarter than that.

And when ban is in place, you can expect thousands of video showing folks still bump-firing as you describe.

Thus resulting in Dems coming back for a ban on all semis.

Maybe they’ll just limit our first amendment rights and not allow us to circulate videos or text about how to bumpfire without a dedicated device? XD

    Just saw this:

The White House said on Tuesday setting an age limit for buying AR-15-type assault rifles, the type purchased legally by a teenager who shot dead 17 people at a Florida high school last week, was under consideration.

"I think that's certainly something that's on the table for us to discuss and that we expect to come up over the next couple of weeks," White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said at a daily briefing when asked if President Donald Trump believed there should be an age limit for the purchase of AR-15-type rifles.

Kinda figured this day was coming soon

I wouldn't worry about this particular move by Trump. The ATF has already stated they have no authority to regulate bump stocks, just as the NRA knew they would when they asked to have ATF look at it. If this had a chance of taking anything away you wouldn't hear Frankenstein saying:

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/d...-wants-bump-stock-legislation/article/2649570

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said President Trump's plan to order a ban on "bump stocks" is not enough, and that her legislation codifying the ban should be taken up in Congress.

Feinstein pointed to a statement from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives last year that they lacked the power to ban the devices, which can increase a gun's rate of fire.

On the plus side, This must really be burning up the DACA cry babies who last week were the darlings of the media. They can't pay for media coverage this week.

    .

If you understand the federal rule making process, it’s actually a quite brilliant move.

I’d rather something like this get tied up in that bureaucracy than have congress legislate something. However, I doubt congress could put together a law that the President would sign.

While that might be true enough for now, and with the way the RINOs have been treating us and not a few seats opening up, it could be a disastrous move.
