    To All,

IF what the moron left really wants is a REAL civil war, this STUPID idea is what will set it off.
(Fwiw, "The Late Unpleasantness of 1861-65" was NOT a civil war. = It was a 2nd American Revolution.)

FWIW, there are MORE GUNS than people in the USA & NOBODY that I know (including the LEOs & GIs, whether active or former) here in TX will willingly turn their guns in.

The Dictator San Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana found that out in 1835-36 & I suspect that he rued the day that he sent GEN Cos to take the little cannon at Gonzales.

    just my opinion, satx

...Gun confiscation in US will be as easy as AUS/UK, as most Americans have too cushy a life style to give up....

We've beat this sad truth to death in prior threads but it's fact.

Were they to make owning a 30mm magazine a felony and I, like most honest shooters, wouldn't dare risk freedom, liberty and livelihood by keeping even one.

Simple fact of 2018 American cushy life.
My life wouldn't change one iota were I limited to 10 round mags.

Though the next step would be banning all semi autos, even 22lrs.

I might end up defending myself with my Ruger #1.

    Same thing would happen.

    True.
    So flame me.

Don't give an inch. Not a micron!

When you fully understand that it’s a death by a thousand cuts, you can start to better protest each cut. I’m great at making a stink about little things I feel passionate about. So I’m on board with this now, when a couple of years ago I would have been more open to “discussion” and “compromise.”

Red pilling open people (like our kids, and other receptive folks) is imperative.

Worry over gaining support of those who expect us to compromise is no longer a concern on the table.

Those driving the political and media agendas refuse address root causes. I think the culture change is driven by the content of TV, movies and video games. Turn on the TV any night and see actors with high volume weapons and explosives shooting up and blowing up entire neighborhoods. NCIS-NO starts with a song boom boom boom boom, bang bang bang bang and bullets fly everywhere. NCIS-LA, SWAT, Hawaii 50, just to name a few, are all about how many bullets can be fired in a 60 minute show. And, how much stuff they can blow up. Let's get our efforts pointed at root causes.

Every time the nonsense of banning certain types of weapons in this country comes up, I ask myself how could any put together a sensible process to take these guns away from the millions of law abiding citizens? This is not a nation of sheep, although millions have already taken on the lambs wool coat for themselves, and the vast majority of Americans are not going to let anyone deprive them of their civil rights.

Gun control advocates always crow about Australia but there is simply no comparison between that sparsely populated British offshoot and this nation.

Of course, the answer is simple because those who are demanding these actions are only interested in their own political or publicity agendas and have no interest in any of the practical issues or realities of the complex issues that have led to this nation's refusal to deal with mental illness and lawlessness in general. Our fathers would never have believed that this country would one day tolerate all manner of evil and lawlessness and allow it to not only go unpunished, but to protect the rights of those who would openly rape, rob and kill others without remorse.

Anyone with half a brain has to understand that each year we pass more laws and yet allow more and more people to break them with impunity.

All I can say is "let them try to take my guns. If you think you have seen rebellion in the past, you ain't seen nothing yet!"

I don't agree- she's splitting hairs between mental illness and "personality disorders"?

She makes statements that aren't backed up by facts (at least she doesn't state any sources- and some sources are known to distort data for their agenda)

She "has friends" that own guns but are for "common sense policies" which has been redefined by the left and means gun control that has no basis in actually reducing crime.

As long as people consider "us" and "them" the Hatfields and McCoys nothing will be accomplished. It's past time to stop beating each other up and LISTEN for a change. I for one STRONGLY oppose the any gun any time anywhere philosophy of the NRA. And yeah, I DO own guns. What you're accusing her of, no sources, she can repeat back to you. Yeah, we all know the argument of New York And California, but they can and do get guns right across the state line. They are wrong in trying to compare the USA to Australia, or Great Britain. But we too shout out opinions, NOT facts. Until people on both sides admit they aren't all right and the other side all wrong the mass shootings will continue. I don't want a fight with you, with the anti-gunners, with ANYBODY. I want a stop to the killings.

It does not matter how many laws you pass, regulations you enact or what you try to do. There will always be someone that wishes to,or is willing to use violence on others to get what they want. The only way to stop killings, nuke the damn planet.
Truth be told, it is nothing short of nature. Look at almost every mammal species on the planet. Nearly all of them have some that will use violence against others to get what they want. And we really are nothing but another animal. Even if we can think and reason.

The only way to stop force is with equal or greater force. Period. Disarm the public, and you make them defenseless against the more violent animals. Not only nature will show you the truth, human history will to. Regardless of how far we have come we are still animals.
We just have a choice to be victims, or not be victims

No law or regulation is going to do that. It's a societal problem, and the laws and regulations we have now have contributed to the problem; not helped.

You also have to consider why these people choose a gun to commit their mass killings. Explosives and fire are more effective at killing large groups of people... Guns are chosen for the specific reaction they illicit in today's society.

The largest school massacre happened in 1927 when you could buy a machine gun from your local hardware store with no background/mental health check. Firebombs were used, not guns.

The small number caught/ prosecuted will get tarred and feathered, mostly by the [former] gun owners, much like we see to day when someone is caught violating some gun law. Nothing a gun owner hates more than seeing another gun owner "get away with something."
Yep... You see that on here even. People get excited about someone getting a felony over something that's "wrong" just because they say it's wrong, and ragging on them with the "play stupid games" comments. Once a new AWB comes down we won't even be able to talk about 30rd mags on here (illegal activity). We're our own worst enemies.

Fact, not opinion. Gun control will not stop mass killings.

    1. Too many guns are already in existence. And where they exist they can be illegally obtained.
    2. Too many other means of killing large numbers of people exist. Even if you could succeed with gun control (which in reality is not possible), a killer will just pick a different means. Vehicle plowing into people in the parking lot. Explosives, poison, arson, etc. None of these means take any intelligence nor are they difficult to pull off.

What will help mitigate? Allow trained teachers/staff to carry.

The root cause issue can be fixed by:
    • returning to the Judeo-Christian values our country once overwhelmingly shared
    • restoring the family
    • having parents raise their own kids, instead of abdicating on that sacred responsibility and having daycare and schools raise kids
    • restoring discipline in the home
    • restoring common sense discipline in the schools
These were proven to work for many, many years in our country.

But half this country, and 90% of the media, violently rejects the proven solutions I propose.

even if they managed to ban and destroy 100% of the guns in the USA. Shipments of new ones will arrive from the drug cartels to replace them at a higher cost and only crooks will get them.

They're not going to confiscate anything. It's a logistic nightmare. The easiest and most direct control they have is Taxation.

Pay very close attention to the price of ammo. With the possibility of background check for it and laws that restrict the hell out of who's allowed to sell it. Also remember the no fly list. Step by step in controlling the ammo out of your hands.

Considering how much they hate everything you believe and stand for. I'd expect it sooner then later.
Time to stock up on reloading supplies.

Add on top of this the lies that "everytown" will state, so I don't trust ANYTHING they say. As long as they take a "ends justify the means" stance, they will NOT STOP until law-abiding citizens are completely disarmed.

I for one STRONGLY oppose the any gun any time anywhere philosophy of the NRA.
Complete misrepresentation of the NRA- you're showing bias already... stick to the facts.

And yeah, I DO own guns. What you're accusing her of, no sources, she can repeat back to you. Name something that the NRA or other pro-rights organization has lied about- or that you think is an opinion.

I don't want a fight with you, with the anti-gunners, with ANYBODY. I want a stop to the killings.
So why guns then? There are plenty of things that kill more people than guns. Be HONEST- you want to stop guns- either you're not being honest about that, or your're not being honest with yourself.

I want the killings to stop to. I also want to see Soros on a rope. I'm a self contradiction. The folks screaming the loudest have the better armed security. Their children go to private schools....with armed body guards. Mansion complexes behind brick, steel gates and fences. Gold forks and spoons. Bulletproof limousines.

I want a lot stuff in life. The answer is NO. They can't have the only way a poor man can protect himself from the rich psychopath predators. I'm getting tired of being told to lick boots.

    No means No.
