Just wanting to talk/question about jeans.

I'm a tall n skinny dude, about 6ft 2in, maybe 32" inseam... been a while. I don't think I've ever had a pair of jeans that actually fit me properly. I'm looking to find better fitting jeans, both for comfort and future CC, when I get my CHL. (still just a dream for my lazy butt) My main problems with my jeans are #1 I can't really fit my hands in my pockets. Took me almost a minute to get my tube of carmex out. This pretty much eliminates pocket carry. #2 the jeans are either riding high or riding low. Both are uncomfortable, neither look good, one is bad for IWB carry.

Since I'm on the subject of jeans, how do people make them last so long? I've got a coworker that looks like his jeans are still brand new, while I bought some new ones for work, they look fairly worn, despite using low heat in the dryer. (Just want to say, so no one mentions it, I'm not going to ask them)

I'm thinking one of these days I will go check out some levis jeans... I just hate that the tag on the right rear says the size. (they're cheap $$)

    My jeans
    29x30 Urban 2011 maybe x1
    29x32 Arizona 2016-2017~ x2

Both of these fit about the same, waist wise. The Urban seems to "ride" better, but not as good as it could be? Then the pockets are small. I also feel like, for how many miles I've put on my Urban, they're in pretty good shape. I had to of been a young teen, the last time my hands fit easily in my pockets. (Urban jeans, I'm 21 now) I've noticed recently, that either my jeans have shrunk to a noticeable amount or I've grown.

When I was shopping for some Arizona jeans, I tried a good few different sizes and fits in similar sizes and landed on that size and a bootcut fit. I think my Urbans are a relaxed straight, but I didn't like that from Arizona...

Does anyone think they could help me figure out what to look for, in jeans? Specific brand or fits? With future CC in mind?

    Thanks,
    Higgins909

Wrangler or Rustler (Walmart). Definitely not Walmart's Faded Glory - not enough belt loops. Set your mind to OWB (outside the waist band) carry & you're pants'll fit using your normal pants size.

I can’t remember the last time I wore anything besides wrangler. Even my FR jeans are wranglers. Hell, thinking about it, even my cargo pants are wranglers.

I wear Carhartt, Cinch, and Wrangler jeans.

I have the opposite problem tho, I’m short.

If your jeans are wearing out quickly, you’re likely washing them too often.

Jeans now have different cuts too. So go to a dept store (not sure if walmart does) and try the different brands and cuts on and see what fits you best. Different brands fit differently

Wranglers. Wash in cold. Air dry. After that, try a pair of Carpenter jeans. They fit me with a bit more of a looser fit around the waist and have more room for moving around with much restriction.

Feel your pain. Or at least I used to.

For a long time I wore 32 x 36 Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans. Like, almost a decade.

I'm heavier now. In a different size. But those Wranglers worked great for me back in the day.

For the last three years I've been wearing Cinch jeans. They are very durable. They have a pair for every body type. For a while I was wearing the green label. Lately I'm a bit thinner and the gold label fit better. The colors have to do with how big you are in the butt, legs and waist.

Cavenders has them. I suggest you go there and try on a few pairs. If you can't get your hands in your pockets, you may have graduated to another size. Try the different label colors in different sizes. Be open to what feels right.

Levi's is also against Concealed Carry or Open Carry in their stores. That for me is a NO GO business.
