OK. Got the 2 stainless slides from the machinist. He does stellar work. He is the guy running my Custom 10mm in the video up thread a few posts.

    The beginning or "Before"........

After some serious love. Flat topped, 3 line serrations, Ball cut relief full length along the slide

Cut a relief along the bottom of the slide. Also removed all the gaudy roll marks.

That angled notch cut just below the firing pin port smooths out the slides transition over the disconnector. It is really noticeable.

Better look at the ball cut.

Started life as an SR1911 Ruger. Not much of the original piece left. I like it.

Top of the Springer loaded. I have some polishing and bead blasting yet to do on both but I need to run them in. Both have new barrels and internals.

The loaded. All that is left after I polish and do some bead blasting is get the names engraved on the dust covers.

We have a local gun show to work this weekend for the forum I moderate. So will not get to run them in until the next weekend.

OK. They are all 4 complete. All that remains is some serious time at the range for final test/tune. None have been ran as currently configured.

Bubby is my son by current marriage. His siter hung that name on him with some of her 1st words. She called him Bubbubbub. It soon rounded off to just Bubby. That is what we call him to this day.
