I've been toying with the idea of taken a shot at cowboy action shooting. I know you have to have 2 pistols and I have decided I'd like to have a pair of Vaquero. Is there any real value in having a pair of consecutive serial number guns? If I'm going to shoot them, and make them used guns, in the future will the consecutive numbers add any value?

Like a lot of things, it makes them more valuable to the right buyer. I've landed several consecutive serial number receivers, and although individually they were not worth any more than any other receiver or even as a pair, when I needed to let them go, I was able to receive a premium for them because they were consecutive serial numbers.

As with anything collectible, Having certain numbers (first, last, consecutive) can add value to collectors, but to the average Joe and businesses that sell firearms, not so much.

Sold a set of SASS Vaquero's with consecutive serial numbers....nice guns...added extra value for consecutive serial numbers depends a lot on what guns they are....imho....

Consecutive Taurus 85's? I wouldn't give a nickel more for those...

Consecutive Pythons, Diamondbacks, S&W 29's....I would pay more......
