    From another forum...
TxSheepDog travels up and down IH35 stopping at random police departments attempting to instigate confrontations. His group stopped at our PD a couple of weeks ago and really worked at a confrontation in our front lobby. They didn't have any luck with us so there is no post from him. Serious douche bags.

As far as I am concerned, the involvement of OCT means it's idiocy at its finest!

I get the feeling this is more like “I happened to be carrying when I got arrested for being a doosh”...

Yep. Especially since OC is granted BY LAW in Texas. As long as you have a LTC, then you are free to OC where ever its allowed. To not allow it would be to violate your rights under the law.

I would love to see some OCT folks open carry / wave their guns around inside a bank. I wonder if any of them have the balls to do that?

    Of course they don't.

Your post sounds like it is all over the place.

Do you support open carry? First part sounds like you do, then the 2nd part sounds like you don't?

Do you think that it is right for police to be harassing people exercising their 1st and 2nd amendment rights in public?

One of the charges Olmos Park cited someone for was having a loaded weapon in public and claiming that there was a city ordinance against it. In Texas any such ordinances are not legitimate as only the state can regulate firearms and it is legal to have a loaded firearm per state law.

It is entirely possible for someone making a presentation to be such an inarticulate idiot that they alienate people who would otherwise support them.

The guy in the video is one of those people

    Some updates on Olmos Park

Open Carry Texas is getting involved with this.

Here is a video of CJ Grisham talking to the chief of police regarding the situation.

Some time later CJ and some other people went and opened carried in Olmos Park and the police over reacted again.

CJ Grisham was arrested, and they arrested the camera woman that they assaulted previously (apparently they decided to get an arrest warrant for her in retaliation).

Yes, its pretty stupid to walk around town with an AR strapped to your back. HOWEVER as stupid as it is, its still LAWFUL to do so. Right or Wrong has nothing to do with it, whats at stake here is a town chief and his officers FAILING to recognize the LAW OF TEXAS. If this is allowed to slide then what happens next? You give the liberals an inch, they take a foot. We all get pissed when the Liberal Dems demonstrate to take our 2nd amendment rights away, these folks are doing what they feel is right. They get an A+ for having the balls to do it.
