When I shoot from a bench with my other bolt guns I'm always reaching over to grab my brass as it ejects. With this one I can pull it out with my left hand without getting off of the gun. Plus it's a single shot so I'll be feeding it too.

After I asked, I started wondering if it was single shot.
I've never worried about saving brass.
    That all makes sense.

As a left handed shooter that prefers right handed guns the design makes great sense.

I owned one left handed rifle and hated it.

I've seen several shotgun barrels blown up but it was due to operator stupidity.
Have seen several revolvers blown apart due to improper handloads. Bullseye powder was notorious for this.

I bought some stuff at an estate sale. This was in a box. Ruger Super Blackhawk.

    Not sure which powder....

Wasn't really interested in getting one any time soon, but between this, that and the other thing, THE WIFE said, you know what, we should. Well, twist my damn arm!

DPMS 5.56/.223, one in nine twist, 16 inch barrel, Colt A2 milsurp carry handle/rearsight from eBay, random Amazon front sight (we'll see).

I like things with simple classic looks, so it's not gonna get a cheese grater hand guard, optics, decals or any of that other nonsense.

Get a scope, but leave the sticker on it for shits and grins.

I'll save them. I'm kinda fired up about it though. Gonna do the minimalist approach, if the barrel shoots true, I'll hang more available options on it. I think one is a gun nut when you've already got reloading dies for a caliber you don't own.

I’ve been reloading for over 28 years never had squib load in my personal loads. Nock on wood. I’m not putting anyone down it’s your right to buy any gun you want it is just my experiences and opinion. I’m still sticking with my 1911 so keep shooting and hitting the ten x
