Wasn't really interested in getting one any time soon, but between this, that and the other thing, THE WIFE said, you know what, we should. Well, twist my damn arm!

    View attachment 133760

DPMS 5.56/.223, one in nine twist, 16 inch barrel, Colt A2 milsurp carry handle/rearsight from eBay, random Amazon front sight (we'll see).

I like things with simple classic looks, so it's not gonna get a cheese grater hand guard, optics, decals or any of that other nonsense.

A Magpul stock will be much more comfortable to shoot.

Really easy to swap out too. I took those stocks off all the ARs Ive owned over the years.

I’ve been reloading for over 28 years never had squib load in my personal loads. Nock on wood. I’m not putting anyone down it’s your right to buy any gun you want it is just my experiences and opinion. I’m still sticking with my 1911 so keep shooting and hitting the ten x

A Magpul stock doesn't narrow it down much. Which one and why and what's wrong with the one that came with it?

Gunshow this weekend so if I can find a nice upper in 300blk and another pistol lower at a decent price I might add to one I already have. I likes it. A his and hers truck gun.

That stock has sharp edges you won't notice till you fire a couple hundred rounds through it. And its hard as a rock.

I have put the carbine stock on a couple and the CTR stock on a couple. They are rounded and have some padding, not much, but it makes a difference. I also replaced the hand grip with a Magpul +grip, which is soft to the touch. Kind of rubber-like to the touch. That grip is a big deal for me. I have soft office-boy hands. I can shoot my AR all day with those two mods.

You're forgiven. I'd love to shoot that - you need any cartridges?

Next you'll have him changing the trigger, since there are so many triggers better than the standard mil spec trigger.

No I made sure I had .223 ammo out and about before everything started to get buried in house stuff, but feel free to shoot it as much as you want. Hope we get more rifle range time this go around. Seems like we shot pistols quite a bit the last time

Sounds good. I reload so much ammo for what I usually shoot that when we go to a range day, I try to get some factory stuff. I don't expect (as well you should) for anybody to shoot anybody else's reloads.

When someone asks if you need ammo the reply should always be 'YES' or 'YES PLEASE'.
