Well, it's that time of year again. The paper wasp are doing their thing. I've sprayed down three nests so far using the water hose. I don't want to kill them but they can't set up camp on the house. They need to go find a tree. Get back to mother nature. The awning of the house isn't the place to be.

Or it gets the hose again.

I’ve got stung once so far this year by a Red Wasp.

New house - we moved in Dec. The adventure of seeing what pests show up shall begin. I've got a good chunk of woods behind me, so I better not be let down with wildlife.

    Pyrethrin

At the higher concentrations. It'll kill any pest you may have. Including roaches and bedbugs. Repeat the treatment in 7 days to kill any hatching eggs or larvae of certain insects. It'll kill adults and the larvae but not the eggs. That's why it needs a second treatment. It's also as organic as it gets. Made from Chrysanthemum flowers with a Monsanto chaser. It breaks down in air after about three days. It'll last a few days longer in soil.

Add some mineral oil and a few drops of dish soap to the mix. You can't store so use all you make.

Hmmm - maybe we need an "urban wildlife" thread. If the usual quota of deer show up this evening, I might do it.
