    The craziest thing happened at air rifle practice last night... a little bird flew up and landed on my rifle!

    It hung out there long enough for me to slowly get my phone out of my pocket and get a couple of pictures, then it let me pet it a couple of times with my finger before it flew off. How crazy is that?!?

    Also, can anyone verify that it's an Indigo Bunting?

    I am far from being an ornithologist, but it sure looks like a male Indigo Bunting in its summer colors (they apparently turn brown in the winter, and display a brightly colored plumage during the breeding season to attract a mate!) to me, albeit a slightly ruffled one in comparison!

    An interesting factoid about the Passerina cyanea is that they often migrate by night, using the stars to navigate!

    What's the full name of the air rifle? It looks slick. Day before yesterday, I had a red cardinal get stuck in the garage over night. Crapped on my car. Knocked over everything it could. Opened the garage door and it flew into the house through another door. I had two cats hunting the poor guy down. After opening the front and back door. He flew out the house through the front. The cats were lathering at the mouth. Little guy didn't slow down until he was gone.

    Back on subject. What kinda air rifle is that?
