I have heard this quite a bit lately. Wish they would change their stance on all of their rifles

Found this salty anti HK rant that I thought was good:
    http://monsterhunternation.com/2007/10/09/hk-because-you-suck-and-we-hate-you/

Someone doesn't understand US import and German export laws.

I have a VP9 and a carry a VP9sk, so I'm a little bias when I say you can't go wrong with buying one. I think the price has come down a good bit on VP9, P30s, and HK45s. Most of the popular striker fired 9mm are similar and it comes down to your preferences, ergo's is what sold me on it.

dropping the mag is all that's keeping me from getting one this weekend. rented one at the LGS and couldn't figure out a way to drop the mag with my finger or thumb without breaking my grip significantly.

For the people that want to know what really goes on with HK, this article pretty well sums it up.

PPQ is nice, hopefully you got the M1.

I prefer the paddle release after getting used to it. I have to break my grip with button release most of the time but with paddle, its easy to do with my middle finger without having to alter my grip.

It is by far my favorite pistol to shoot that I own outside of my 1911’s.

I am not a HK fanboy by any means as I own a lot of different brands but for a change in recent carry and training I have gone with and love the VP9 and shoot better with it than my Sigs and M&P.

I have 2 VP9s, one LE tactical and one SK LE version. Love em both. Have the lobos trigger on the TAC and it's even better.

Only advantage the Glock 19 has, that I can see, is the shorter grip length may be a little easier to conceal.

As stated above, H&K hates you.

There are so many other gun manufacturers that appreciate civilian gun ownership and our 2A rights. Why support one that doesn't?

They only sell to civilians for profit, not for the fact that they think civilians should own firearms.

Honestly I put them right up there with CTD and Dick's.
I don't even own any HKs, but I want to make a correction.
The "HK hates you" thing is an untrue meme.

Their actions are just business reacting to the American government.
They got absolutely bu**-fu**** by the US government previously and lost a lot of money.
It's only natural that they became risk advers for this market.

Shouldn't this part be in the "Out of Context Quote" section? "...its easy to do with my middle finger without having to alter my grip."

VP9 has been my everyday carry for a little over a year now. Have ran just over 3500 rounds through it in that time with zero malfunctions. Put Talon grip wraps on it (love those things). The VP9 in my experience is a joy to hold and shoot. The ergonomics feel like it was custom made for my hands. The paddle release only took a few magazines to get used to, and now I much prefer it. I no longer have to adjust my grip to release the mag. I also own HK LP30 Long and an HK45, plus 3 Glocks along with a couple of Ruger wheel guns. But I can say with pride that I'm definitely an HK fanboy.

The VP9 was the pistol my wife decided she wanted after shooting about every other model I could get her hands on, so o bought her one. Then, we went to the range and I shot it.....I now have my own VP9 and never leave home without it. I have many other pistols, Glock, S&W, Taurus, Ruger, Sig, even a full custom, but I love that HK. The only gun I have with a better trigger is my custom, and the trigger alone cost $250 on that. I prefer the paddles to mag release buttons because I have short thumbs. My only complaint about the VP9 is that the aftermarket isn't as strong as it could be for them. I'd really like to mount an RMR on it, but I don't want to send my slide out to be milled, with my Glocks it's easy to to just order a slide pre-cut. Other accessories are also less available, like mags, mag extensions, aftermarket triggers...... sure, they're out there, but they cost more and they're harder to find.
