There is some real pride-in-ownershop in an ACOG.

I have the 1.25-4x Firedot and it is a solid unit. That one should be as well.

I went with the Vortex 1-8X24 instead. That way I have a true 1X without having to take off the the scope. Love it!

Burris 1-5x and i think their 1-6x is in your price range. I beat my mtac to hell shooting 3 gun and it took the abuse.

I have a Nikon M223, VX-R Patrol, and now an Athlon Helos 8-34 on the way.
I'm using all scope for my ar-15 for different purposes.

Edit: DSG Arms had them on sale for $370 a few months back. I shall haz one if they do that again

Having owned a set of Steiner Commander binoculars i wouldn't suggest anything Steiner.
