The only yeti product I own is their cups. I tried the other brands, and yes they work just as well, until you drop them. That’s when the difference shows. Also the yeti lids are better than the others.

I've never saw the need to buy a Yeti. I definitely won't now. I have an RTIC tumbler and it does a fantastic job at keeping things the same temp. I didn't pay for it but at least they are an option at a fraction of the price.

I've seen Yetis all over the place. In Academy I always just laugh at the price tag. You know someone thought "Let me just make this have a odd name, make it look nice, and charge out the ass for it". It's like buying those 140 dollar sets of jeans in the upper end stores that are made to the same standards as my Wranglers.

RTIC are built very tough, still expensive but half the cost of Yeti.

Rtic prices have come way down. I picked up a new 40 ounce Rtic at Buc-ee's yesterday for $12.99. It was a pretty red one with a beaver on it! Also picked up an Rtic one gallon jug for a bit under $27, the comparable Y product is $130. There was a sale on the jugs but normal price is $35.

Ozark Trail is a private Walmart label. They knocked off almost all of the Y products and put a new floor price out there. Under $10 for a 40 ounce cup. Coolers for under $50. Same features as Y, probably made in the same Chinese factory.

My nephew is a professional fishing guide and YETI is one of his sponsors. He was getting almost any Yeti product for 1/2 off up until the buyout, now he gets a third off.
