What do you folks think about the Ares belts? Other than they are spendy.

I think if I paid that much, I'd expect abit more consideration to customers.

    http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/04/tyler-kee/gear-review-ares-gear-aegis-belt/

    excerpt: *****Update 3/2017*****

Sometime in late 2016, the inner and outer layers of nylon started to separate creating a “bump” right where the tension bar in the buckle rides. The end result was that the belt was either a touch too tight or a touch too loose. I contacted Ares Gear who let me know that since I was not the original purchaser (belt was a gift), their warranty did not apply. Keep this policy in mind if you are going to gift the belt to someone as you’ll need to keep your receipt.

and in reading the comments to this article, seems even purchasers had issues with Ares's warranty.....

just ordered the Kore Essentials belts. seem to review very well.

2 leather (black and brown) and the x2 buckle, and the over-priced x4 buckle.

TTAG has a 10% coupon code but I found a 15% (SAVE15). $113 and change shipped, with the gimmicky hanger.

Waiting on my LTC license to come in...and got me.thinking a few of my guns have some.pretty good weight.to them.
So what is a good gun belt to help with my.heavy Sig's?
    What are you all.using?

    crash83,

I was a lawman for over 3 decades & I still own & use the same THREE gunbelts that EL PASO SADDLERY made for me in the late 1960s.

My duty belt is a basketweave "river belt" (It still fits me after over 30 years of uniformed police work & is perfectly serviceable after all this time, though I've seldom worn it since retirement.), my "every day gunbelt" is a 2" basketweave with a "Texas Star" buckle & my "dress belt is a 1.34" "plain Jane" belt that LOOKS perfectly acceptable with a coat & tie.
(I carry a pistol on my belt every day & have done so for 3+ decades.)

IF you contact EPS, they will make you whatever you desire & at a reasonable price, given their EXCELLENT QUALITY & WORKMANSHIP. = Given ever minimal care, EPS's belts will likely outlast YOU.

    just my OPINION, satx

El Paso Saddlery makes top of the line leather goods. You can't go wrong. IMO

Since they hooked me with the father's day sale on a holster I couldn't resist picking up one of the versacarry belts too. Hoping it turns out as nice as they say.

I just ordered a Kore Essentials Trackline gunbelt. It's the most I've ever spent on a belt. I'm a bit nervous about it.
they are good. I have 2 leather ones, 2 buckles and stupid hanger thing. they work well.

The tactical mesh whatever are supposedly 3x as stiff. So if the leather ones work, the tactical ones must be insane. either way you'll be happy.

Yeah, I don't like canvas/mesh belts. I went with the leather. Been thinking about buying one for quite a while and wishing for better than the $12 WalMart belt I've got.
