Mossberg 500 persuader and ruger 10/22 stainless takedown. Academy had a 10% off sale. I also bought 200 rds of .45acp,9mm,.380, .38special and 325 rds of .22lr.

I got in on that sale. Purchase a Mossberg Maverick 88 security for $144+tax& shipping. When I went to pick it up Wednesday I saw a Sig P365 at the gun counter and bought it as well. Good week.

Will need a range report on this one. It is fairly high on my bucket list. Will be watching for it.
Shot it yesterday. Only two types of ammo I had were 165 gr federal hydra shoks and 230 gr independence aluminum. The gun itself is fun to shoot. It has some recoil and I am definitely going to get some talon grips because it will want to leave your hands when shooting 230 gr rounds. The 165 gr rounds were soft shooting out of it. I just started carrying it today but I might start a seperate thread if people are interested. I had a hard time finding alot of info about it because it is uncommon

Haven't bought it yet but strongly considering the Taurus G2c for carry since my LTC is in the mail and my CZ clone is too big for concealed carry. Will likely end up picking it up this weekend.

Have you thought this through. Are you absolutely certain you want a Taurus for your EDC? It’s obviously your decision, but you might want to do a little googling and see what problems people are reporting.

I'd like to see how it goes. I was a big Taurus fan in the '90's when their QC was good. I've heard that they've made progress improving their QC. I don't want to test it myself, but I'll follow anyone who is testing it.

If you don't want the risk, go with a S&W SD9VE or Ruger Security Nine.

I was very cautious about it first also since I'd heard the bad things about how the millenium line used to be. Did some research on how they are lately since they stopped calling it the PT111 and started calling it the G2c, along with changing the trigger and removing the hard lock in the slide. All the reviews I've seen on it have been solid, and both the gentleman I spoke to at Cabela's this weekend, and the salesman at Marksmen in Benbrook say they can barely keep them in stock. Just wanting to shoot one first since I've heard the trigger pull is very long.

These are the reviews I've seen, all pretty positive. Definitely going to shoot one before I buy, I was also looking at the M&P shield but I find the taurus more comfortable in the hand, it holds more rounds, and has an external safety, plus it's more budget friendly.

I do appreciate the concern guys, and am very open to other suggestions.

@the prophet, check out the ruger sr9e. I understand the appeal of the pt111 pricing and other models in that 250 to 270 price range, but I feel the ruger might do you better. It has a wonderful trigger. The ergonomics are nice. Is surprisingly thin for its size and would hide well. Has the chamber indicater gone. I enjoy mine a lot. I think it's a hidden gem in the economy handgun class.

I have a Taurus pt111 g2 and carry it for security work. Some ammo will not work in it like Remington UMC hard ball but I carry Hornady critical duty / defense ammo runs through like butter

I haven't tried the SR9E yet, but my grandfather has the SR9c, not a huge fan of it, just feels weird in the hand to me.

Honestly not sure how to describe it, it's been a while since I've handled it. Just couldn't find a comfortable grip on it. My grandfather doesn't like it much either, but he bought it before he knew much about guns.
